Description:
Growing up in a farm in this small town in Louisiana really does wonders for especially for kids. I remember having the best times of my childhood. We had a small piece of land that my Dad converted into a farmhouse. My siblings and I would often wander around doings tons of stuff like growing vegetables, feeding the ducks in the pond and chasing around chickens on the loose. Our weekends were often spent fishing and hunting and we would always catch the biggest trout or redfish for mom to cook for lunch. Sometimes, we go out in the marshland hoping to catch some ducks, and if we’re lucky, a waterfowl, to keep around in the farm.
My folks were the coolest because they let us kids do pretty much whatever we want. I guess we always craved adventure and it runs in the family. Since were much older now, I’m in-charge of planning the family trips. I can’t wait to spend the weekend holed up in wooden lodges, go on scenic boat charters in the Great Lakes and go anywhere with our trusty guides. I’m just glad that my kids still get to experience pretty much the same things that I did back when I was younger.
